Tattoo Removal
Many people have tattoos that they want removed for one reason or another. At Brisbane Tattoo Moficiation & Removal we use the latest state of the art Ruby Q Switched Laser, one of the most effective instruments for tattoo removal available.
The Ruby Q Switched laser uses heat and intense vibration to ‘shatter’ ink particles that are then broken down by the body’s internal defence system. In most cases a tattoo can be completely removed without scarring.
The clinic is run by trained and licenced staff and has been health department approved. Futher to this we are friendly and non-judgemental as we are all tattooed as well !
To fully remove a tattoo a number of sessions need to be performed – usually up to six for amateur tattoos and up to twelve for professional tattoos however this varies from person to person. Each session is done between six to ten weeks apart to allow enough time for the body to get rid of as much tattoo ink as possible.
The procedure involves some discomfort however every endeavour is made by the laser operator to minimise the pain. Some people find applying a numbing cream prior to coming in beneficial, however most find that the ice pack we use is sufficient.

If you are contemplating a cover-up but your options are limited due to the original tattoo we can help. By lightening the wole existing tattoo or just parts of it using the Ruby laser your tattooist’s job becomes a lot easier and the result for you much better.
We have successfully used the laser to re-do very large back and chest pieces as well as many smaller ones on arms etc. All of the clients are extremely happy with the results and could never have had the same options without the laser. So by using this service the ‘sky’s the limit’ when it comes to cover-ups.
The advantage that we have over other laser tattoo removal clinics is that we understand tattoos and so are able to follow the guidance from you and your tattoo artist to ensure you achieve the best results possible. We guarantee to use the laser in a way that will save you both time and money. You can be lasered before, during or after your cover-up according to your particular needs.
The number of sessions required is less for a cover-up than full removal, usually by about half, however this again depends on your individual circumstances.
Hair Removal
The Ruby Star Laser is also very effective at hair removal.
All areas of the body can be treated except for around the eyes. The most common are the bikini line and underarms for the ladies and chest, back and neck for men.
The procedure is relatively fast and apart from a slight tingling sensation, is pain free.
Prior to your first hair removal treatment we will need to perform a skin and patch test. Treatments can commence 24hrs after testing. This is to ensure correct settings are used for your skin type.
As with tattoo removal a number of sessions need to be performed at six to twelve week intervals.
Please note prior to laser hair removal the area to be treated must not have been waxed, plucked or bleached for six weeks.
Although not guaranteed it is important to note that the hair removal can be permanent. |
